Dr. Michelle McMurry-Heath was the first black graduate of The Duke University MD/Ph.D Medical Scientist Training Program and completed her Ph.D in immunology. She has had a distinguished career in senior leadership, most recently as the President and CEO of the Biotechnology Innovation Organization.

Nicholas and Michelle will discuss the terrain of being a black woman in senior leadership in the US, the challenges and inspirations of her lineage, the necessity for collective trauma healing, and the power and nature of faith.
